DJ Santos Lopez

Santos Lopez is an avid “Salsero” (Salsa dancer) who has maintained a passion for Salsa dancing since he was first introduced to Salsa in the early 1990s. Santos began DJ’ing at the age of 15 and has maintained the art ever since. Santos’ interest in music and entertainment was prompted by his father’s influence, who is a retired radio announcer and radio pioneer of San Jose. “I love to Salsa dance and I enjoy sharing this multifaceted passion with other people. Whether it’s through dancing or music, it is a great passion to share with other cultures.”

Santos has DJed at events around the Bay Area, including Clarion Salsa Sundays, the 2011 WRPRC Dia De San Juan Festival in San Jose, and the grand opening of TekilaRock. He also MCed at the Salsa Stage at the 2010 & 2011 San Jose Jazz Festival and has worked closely with local bands such as Montuno Swing and Saboricua.
