Montuno Swing

Headed up by Grammy winner Christian Tumalan (of Pacific Mambo Orchestra), Montuno Swing is a fresh West Coast salsa band with a Big Band sound.

Montuno Swing features a top-tier collection of Latin Jazz musicians from across the United States and Latin America, weaving together a rich and diverse collection of sounds under one seamless banner. The band’s infectious rhythm section is accompanied by thundering brass and out-of-this-world piano solos that combine to put a new twist on classic Latin favorites. The result is a band that is loved for its musical talents as well as it’s dance-ability.

Under Christian’s leadership, Montuno Swing has grown to recognition as one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s hottest Latin bands. Today they are regularly featured at major festivals such as the SF Salsa Festival and San Francisco Salsa Congress, as well as popular nightclubs.
