Introducing TuneTempo – Free Music Slow-Down & Loop Tool for Dancers

After weeks of late-night coding sessions (and copious amounts of coffee), I’m thrilled to roll out a brand new tool for dancers: TuneTempo, a free, browser-based music slow-downer and loop app built specifically for dancers.

TuneTempo makes it easy to slow down (or speed up!) any song so you can slow a piece down when you’re learning new choreography, or dance to a song you really love that’s just a touch too fast.

You can pretty much load any type of music (MP3, M4A/MP4, WAV, you name it) and start adjusting the tempo. You can even export the adjusted track, which is great if you’re an instructor and want to share a slowed down cut of the music with your students.

TuneTempo adjusts just the tempo of the song, without affecting the pitch, so you don’t get chipmunk voice or melting record when you change the speed of the song.

TuneTempo also allows you to create loops, so you can easily loop just the section of the song you’re learning, which is great for learning and teaching choreo. Loops you create can also be exported as MP3s as well.

There are other music tools out there, but this one was designed by dancers for dancers, and is completely free and ad-free.

Check out TuneTempo today, and let us know what you think! If you have any comments, questions or feedback, just leave them in the comments.
