The Target Summer Pops is an annual concert series sponsored by Symphony Silicon Valley that brings free, live music to downtown San Jose.
This year as part of the concert series they are bringing Ricardo Lemvo and Makina Loca to perform at the SJSU campus for their "Noche Caliente" salsa night.
I attended the concert last year (featuring the Spanish Harlem Orchestra), and it was a lot of fun. There are tons of people who come out just to listen to the music, who set up chairs and blankets on the lawn, as well as salseros dancing it up on the sidewalks.
This is a great event to go to before hitting up Hot Salsa Friday in Campbell, or before a night out on the town, and best of all it's free!
