Vassili is a Seattle-based salsa and bachata instructor and performing artist, known for pairing musician-level musicality with clear, structured teaching. He began salsa in 2000 and went on to win the Reno Dance Sensation salsa competition two years in a row. Today he serves as Artistic Director and head instructor at Salsa con Todo (SCT), Seattle’s partner-dance hub, where he teaches progressive on2 curriculum, social technique, and musical interpretation.
Originally from Paros, Greece, Vassili’s foundation is in music and performance. He founded the world-music ensemble Children of the Revolution after moving to Seattle, leading the group on international stages and recording a featured duet with Ann Wilson of Heart—experience that shaped his stagecraft and timing as a dancer and coach.
Beyond the studio, he has studied in both Colombia and Cuba to deepen his understanding of salsa and Afro-Cuban forms, and he regularly teaches series and training teams at SCT alongside rotating partners from the faculty (frequently Connie H. and Anne Gaskins). His classes emphasize timing, spin mechanics, and social dance readiness.
