Waldo Solano is a professional salsa, bachata, cumbia, and Latin dance instructor with more than 20 years of teaching experience. Alongside his wife and dance partner, Jacqui Solano, he owns Salsa Knoxville Dance Company and Champion Ballroom Knoxville.
Since 2008, Waldo and Jacqui have helped thousands of people throughout East Tennessee discover the confidence, connection, and joy that come from dancing. They specialize in Salsa, Bachata, Cumbia, and Merengue, offering beginner-friendly group classes, private lessons, bootcamps, performances, and weekly Latin dance parties.
Waldo is known for making dance easy to understand, especially for complete beginners who feel nervous or believe they have “two left feet.” His welcoming, step-by-step teaching style helps students feel comfortable, meet new people, and become confident social dancers.
