Elian Gomez is a salsa dancer, instructor and choreographer based in the Philadelphia area. Originally from Mexico, he moved to the United States to pursue a professional dance career. He co-founded MamboLab Latin Dance Academy with his dance partner, Ashley Rivera.
Gomez has taught and performed internationally, and his choreography work includes touring with Puerto Rican recording artist Rauw Alejandro. At MamboLab, his work centers on New York style salsa On2. The academy offers progressive classes in partnerwork and solo footwork, with body movement and musicality forming part of its wider training program.
Together with Rivera, Gomez leads Báilalo Social, a Philadelphia-area event that brings dancers together for salsa classes and social dancing. Their work also connects dance instruction with cultural education. In September 2026, the pair were featured in ¡Salsa! at Esperanza Arts Center, combining performance with a conversation about the dance and its history. Their academy serves newcomers as well as dancers pursuing more advanced training.
