Biography

The Wayne Wallace Latin Jazz Quintet is one of the top Latin Jazz bands in the San Francisco Bay Area. Directed by the 5-time Grammy nominated Wayne Wallace, the group performs at Latin festivals and musical events across the country.

The band’s members include Wayne Wallace on trombone, Murray Low on piano, David Belove on bass, Colin Douglas on trap drums, and Michael Spiro providing the congas and percussion. In addition to playing live music, the group has produced a wide library of original songs, and has released 4 CDs since 2008, including their most recent production: “Latin Jazz – Jazz Latin” released in 2013.

The group fuses the Afro-Cuban rhythms of Havana, Cuba with Latin Jazz sensibilities to create a sound that is both authentically Latin and refreshingly innovative.
