Salsa and Bachata Classes at Dance Culture Annerley

Dance Culture offers year-round salsa and bachata classes at its Annerley studio, with instruction available from complete beginners through advanced levels. Classes take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, with breaks for Easter and Christmas.

The program includes Salsa Levels 1-6 and Bachata Levels 1-4, with instructor approval required for classes above Level 1. Most class blocks include 15-minute practice breaks between sessions.

Monday salsa classes begin at 6:30 PM, with additional salsa classes on Sundays from 11:30 AM. Bachata classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 PM, while Wednesdays feature New York Salsa On2 from 6:30 PM.

The teaching team includes Angel Duncan, Travers Coward, Jai Sheffield, Avanka Wickramanayaka, Lauren McDonald, Samir Kumar, Courtney Cowling, Carlos Galiano, Elli Torres, Fabian Brandon, and Codi Reid.

Complete beginners can start with the four-week Introduction to Latin Dancing course, which covers both salsa and bachata for AU$89. No previous dance experience or partner is required.

Monday classes are currently limited to existing students and graduates of the introductory course. Experienced dancers joining the studio can enter during the first or second week of a teaching block.

First-visit options for experienced newcomers are AU$15 for one class, AU$25 for one day, or AU$35 for one week. Regular casual classes cost AU$25, with passes available for AU$110 for five classes or AU$200 for ten classes.

Membership options with a four-week minimum commitment cost AU$35 per week for one day, AU$45 per week for two days, or AU$55 per week for unlimited classes. An unlimited membership is also available for AU$45 per week with a six-month minimum commitment.

Dance Culture Annerley is located upstairs on the first floor, with the studio entrance between Yesterdays Thrift Shop and Lifeline Vintage Revival.
