La Rumba Cuban Dance Company Salsa and Latin Dance Classes

La Rumba gives Calgary dancers a Cuban-rooted weekly class schedule with salsa, Afro-Cuban movement, cha cha cha, son, mambo, bachata, and related styles. The program is a good fit for students who want social connection, rhythm, and musicality rather than only step memorization.

Alexis Mora Blanco teaches the classes at Connection Dance & Creative Studios. The schedule includes Monday intermediate Cuban salsa, Tuesday beginner Cuban salsa, Wednesday Afro-Cuban body movement plus cha cha cha/Son/Mambo & More, and Thursday Dominican bachata; beginner-oriented classes do not require a partner or prior experience.

Classes start at 7:00 PM or later Monday through Thursday, with seasonal sessions and drop-ins available. Group sessions range from $95 to $118 Canadian dollars, drop-ins are $27, and private lessons are available; the studio is inside Portland Place, which has surface parking and access to Blackfoot Trail, downtown Calgary, Deerfoot Trail, and nearby transit.
