Cucala Salsa Classes at Court Square

About this event

Cucala offers weekly beginner New York-style Salsa On2 classes at Long Island City School of Ballet in Long Island City, with instruction in solo footwork and partnerwork.

Classes take place every Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, beginning with a one-hour shines and solo footwork class at 7:00 PM. A one-hour partnerwork class follows at 8:00 PM, giving students the opportunity to practice salsa with a partner.

No previous dance experience or partner is required, making the classes accessible to complete beginners. Partners rotate during lessons, allowing students to practice with different dancers.

Each one-hour class costs $24, with a free trial available. A five-class pass costs $100, while a ten-class pass costs $180.

Classes take place at Long Island City School of Ballet on the second floor of the LIC Arts Center Building. The studio is accessible by taking the 7 train to Court Square.
