Born on Isla Margarita, Venezuela and raised in Princeton, New Jersey, Clo Ferreira is a versatile Afro-Latin dancer and educator whose training spans classical ballet, modern/contemporary, hip-hop, American & Latin ballroom, and social styles including salsa, multiple bachata forms, and Brazilian zouk. She began early under the influence of her brother Ry’El (Zen Zouk), who served as both partner and mentor.
Clo has studied with an extensive roster of masters—among them Eddie Torres, Griselle Ponce, Braz Dos Santos, Risa Kaplowitz, Sekou McMiller, Liz Lira, José Serrano, and Eli Torres—and has gone on to compete, perform, and teach internationally across festivals and congresses. Her coaching emphasizes musicality, clean classical foundations, and the kind of social-dance connection that translates from studio to dance floor.
Since 2018, Clo has partnered with De’Jon Polanski, co-directing Tropik Vybe Dance Company and touring worldwide as one of the scene’s most dynamic Salsa On2 couples. Together they continue advanced training with Marisol Blanco (Afro-Cuban) and José Serrano (ballet/cabaret), while running in-person programs in Dallas and an online training library that delivers a student-POV class experience.
Their Dallas studio hosts progressive Salsa On2 programs, socials, and intensives, with enrollment and booking centralized through Tropik Vybe’s site.
