José A. Santamaria (aka JAS) is dance instructor, performer, promoter, choreographer and judge who has performed at salsa congresses and events around the world. He began dancing at a young age, and has been a salsa instructor since 2001, giving him over 10 years of teaching experience.
José is the founder of the JAS Dance Academy, a salsa school based in Santa Rosa. He is also the director of “Sangre Latina DC”, “Salsa Fresca DC”, and “Bachata SeduXion DC” which are popular Latin dance teams in the North Bay. José is passionate about teaching and mentoring teens and adults, and aspires to create a stronger community through dance.
Not a great dancer, and not qualified to be an instructor. There are much better and established studios in the bay area, don’t waste time.
