Salsa Vida has changed a lot since our last update in May.
We have introduced new ways to save and share events, redesigned our city guides, expanded instructor profiles, improved TuneTempo, and completed major performance and event-quality upgrades across the site.
Salsa Vida now features more than 5,500 salsa events and 700 festivals across 129 countries, while serving more than 160,000 visitors each month.
Here are some of the biggest recent improvements.
Add Events to Your Calendar
You can now add Salsa Vida events directly to Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar and other calendar apps.
Add the full series to your calendar in one step, so you never miss an upcoming class or social. Each entry includes the schedule, location and a direct link back to the event.

Look for the Add to Calendar button on event pages.
Share Events with Friends
Our new Share Event button makes it easier to send events to a friend, dance partner or group chat.
On supported devices, the button opens the standard sharing menu. On other devices, it provides a quick way to copy the event link.
Better City Guides and Maps
We have significantly upgraded our salsa city guides to make event discovery faster and more useful.
Recent additions include:
- Improved event filters
- Date selectors
- Integrated interactive maps
- Venues with multiple events
- Local instructors, teams, DJs and bands
- Improved class and social pages
Class pages now also highlight local salsa instructors, making it easier to view their profiles, find upcoming classes and contact them directly.

Faster Pages and Better Mobile Performance
A large amount of work has happened behind the scenes to improve speed.
We’ve made Salsa Vida faster and smoother across mobile and desktop, so event listings, maps and calendars load more quickly when you’re trying to find somewhere to dance.
In mobile testing, our city guides loaded approximately 75% faster after the latest performance improvements.
More Reliable and Detailed Event Information
Events change constantly, so we have also been working through a major event-quality project.
So far, we have:
- Added more practical details, including parking, public transit, pricing and venue information
- Expanded organizer contact information so it’s easier to confirm details or ask questions
- Introduced Live Music indicators for events featuring salsa bands and other live Latin music
- Improved how we monitor listings for schedule changes, venue moves and events that may no longer be active
- Updated older event pages with clearer, more complete information
TuneTempo Improvements
We completed a major round of fixes for TuneTempo, Salsa Vida’s free music slow-downer and looping tool.
The updates improve file loading, looping, playback controls and background behavior. We know many dancers use TuneTempo regularly to help with their practice sessions, so making it even more reliable has been a priority for us!
More Instructor Profiles and Dancepedia Articles
We have added dozens of new instructor profiles and connected instructors with the events where they teach. Upcoming linked events now appear on instructor pages, while instructors can appear directly on class and event listings.
We have also redesigned the Dancepedia and are continuing to publish researched guides to dances from around the world, including our latest article on Pangalay.
More to Come
There’s much more on the way. We’re continuing to build new features, improve the experience across Salsa Vida, and explore fresh ways to help dancers discover, learn and stay connected.
We’re excited to share what’s next soon.
