Day 4 of “A Caricature A Day” here at Salsa By The Bay, just 3 more days to go! Today’s caricatures span the entire Bay Area, including the South Bay, Peninsula, North Bay, and East Bay!
1) Rodney “Rodchata” Aquino
We start today’s set of caricatures in San Francisco with Mr. Rodney “Rodchata” Aquino, one of the top bachata promoters and instructors in the world, and occasional salsa teacher. Read more on his bio.
2) Juan Gil & Ruth Caspary
Moving to the East Bay next we have Juan Gil and Ruth Caspary, the directors of Salsa With Juan, offering salsa lessons of all levels every week at the Lake Merritt Center in Oakland.
3) Jesse “JazzyJez” Giovanni
Moving down the to the South Bay, we have Jesse “JazzyJez” Giovanni, salsa promoter, salsa dj, and salsa instructor. You can find him teaching every Monday at Azucar or spinning musing at Illusions Salsa up in Palo Alto.
4) Jimmy “JSmooth” Bui
Also in the South Bay is Mr. Jimmy “JSmooth” Bui, who has been teaching FREE salsa lessons every Thursday night at the Miraido Studio in Japan Town for a number of years now. Find out more about him on his bio.
5) Vera Quijano
Finally we have Vera Quijano, a long time dance instructor who teaches salsa lessons regularly up in Redwood City.
