Salsa Training Teams Starting Up

Looking to improve your salsa dancing in the new year? As any good dancer will tell you, the only way to improve is through consistent practice, and one good way to do that is by joining a training team. Many of the Bay Area’s top salsa instructors and teams are starting up training teams soon. Here’s are the important dates you need to know:
Tuesday, January 31, 2012
On 1 Training Team Series – Want to learn how to improve your On1 dancing skills from the current reigning Salsa World Champions? Salsamania is starting an On1 training team starting January 31st which runs for 3 months, with practices every Tuesday and Thursday. The cost to join is $400 up until January 27th, after which the price jumps to $450.

Salsa Choreography & Performance Workshop – If you want to improve your choreography and stage presence, sign up for this 4-month long workshop from Ava Apple and Rodolfo Guzman, the directors of The Latin Symbolics. The cost is $250 if you sign up by February 15, or $300 at the door.

Other Training Teams
Montuno Dance Company in San Jose offers a beginner and intermediate training team every Monday, starting in January. The cost to join is $80 a month, with discounts available for students. Contact Isidro Corona for more information at montundanceco@gmail.com.
