Empire Mambo is a New York City–based mambo company known for high-octane shines, tight musicality, and old-school Palladium flair under the direction of international star Adolfo Indacochea. Built around the “NY-style mambo” lineage, the company trains dancers through a full studio program, fielding student, amateur, and pro-level performance teams and hosting live-music socials.
Empire Mambo performers and instructors appear regularly at major festivals and congresses worldwide, while the studio’s virtual platform brings Adolfo’s (and guest teachers’) methodology to dancers everywhere. On any given week, Empire’s Midtown studio buzzes with classes, rehearsals, and live band nights, with alumni and faculty that include icons such as Tania Cannarsa and Amneris Martínez.
In addition to appearances worldwide, Empire Mambo helps power NYC’s scene as an organizer—producing the week-long New York Mambo Experience intensive at their Midtown studio, the Our Mambo Thing live-band social series, and co-presenting the Empire Sensual Movement Salsa & Bachata Congress based at the Hotel Edison in Times Square.
