Inessence Dance Company is a San Francisco-based Latin dance team and training program directed by Bryon Stroud and Sammantha Arias. Founded in 2012, the company is based out of Danzhaus Dance Center in San Francisco and offers classes, performance teams, events, and entertainment services.
Although Inessence is especially associated with bachata, its current structure also includes multiple salsa teams in San Francisco, including Inessence Salsa Muses and Inessence Rumberos, alongside beginner, intermediate, and advanced performance tracks. Rather than functioning as a single standalone salsa team, Inessence operates as a broader Latin dance organization with salsa as one of its main branches.
Inessence is known in the San Francisco scene for its team training pipeline, regular classes, and large local socials. The company includes more than 100 dancers across the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Concord, and its events feature separate salsa and bachata rooms, guest DJs, performances, and open enrollment for team seasons.
