About this event
Bachata Umeå Festival returns for its fifth edition from December 4 to 6, 2026, bringing a weekend of bachata workshops, social dancing, and community to Kulturhuset Klossen in Umeå, Sweden. The festival begins at 6:00 PM on Friday and continues until 6:00 PM on Sunday, offering three days of learning, music, and dancing.
The festival features workshops led by Severi and Wilanda, Jesper and Esmeralda, and Hany and Sofie. Participants can explore different bachata styles, including sensual bachata, BachaZouk, and Dominican bachata, while developing their technique, musicality, and partner connection.
In addition to the workshops, the festival includes three social dances taking place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. These socials provide opportunities to practice new moves, meet fellow bachata enthusiasts, and enjoy dancing throughout the weekend.
A full festival pass costs €110 when purchased through October 31, with the price increasing to €120 afterward. For dancers attending part of the weekend, a Saturday pass is available for €80, while a Sunday pass costs €50.
The festival takes place at Kulturhuset Klossen in Umeå, Sweden. Visitors traveling by public transportation can take bus routes 5 or 8 to Ålidhems Centrum, the nearest bus stop.
