Claudia Caturano is an Italian salsa dancer and instructor based in Matera. She teaches and performs with Claudio D’Ercole, specializing in Cuban salsa and Afro-Cuban movement. Their work includes classes at Los Hermanos and international festival workshops.
Caturano has trained with Maykel Fonts and is a member of Cubana Company. In 2024, she performed with the group when it won the Valetodo competition at Eventopeople in Scalea. The winning choreography was created by D’Ercole and presented by a team of dancers from Matera.
Her teaching partnership with D’Ercole brings Cuban partnerwork and movement training to congress audiences. They have taught at the Croatian Summer Salsa Festival and at Salsa Mambo Festival in Australia. Their joint workshops also feature on the Italian festival circuit, including Cubanflow partnerwork at Eventopeople.
Alongside her work as a couple, Caturano continues performing with Cubana Company. Her career combines the rehearsal and choreography of a dance company with teaching students in both a local school and international workshop settings.
