Cafe Cocomo is a great place to go salsa dancing in SF. The parking is plentiful, the venue is large with a good floor, and the drinks are affordable.

Monday nights in particular have a very low-key vibe, with cool lighting, a chill crowd, and the smooth Latin rhythms of the Pacific Mambo Orchestra. $10 is a good deal for a night with a live band, and you can often get a discount if you RSVP ahead of time on Facebook.

My only complaint is that on the night I went the crowd was pretty small, but then it's hard to expect too much on a Monday night. With a larger crowd, I would easily give this place 4-4.5 stars.

This is absolutely one of my favorite events in the Bay right now. The Pacific Mambo Orchestra which plays here every week is an all-star band made up of some of the best members of well known bands and they play a fantastic show.

Cafe Cocomo in general is a great venue with a classy decor - the dance floor is huge and the bar is well priced. Monday night in particular is very dancer friendly and definitely caters to the mambo crowd.

Has a great live band which played some creative salsa and cha-cha compositions. Monday night had a very relaxed and low-key vibe with a friendly but small collection of dancers. The upstairs area and coat check was closed due to the small crowd. Plentiful street parking and an appealingly spacious dance floor. If your looking for a relaxed evening with lots of room to dance and some great music Monday nights are a good time to attend this classy venue.
