Verónica López is a Spanish salsa dancer, instructor, and choreographer known for clean, musical footwork and a blend of on2 timing with Cuban son and Afro-rumba influences. She began her professional career in 2008 and, in 2010, founded the ladies’ company Diamantes de Rumba, which gained recognition on the Afro-Latin circuit.
In 2012 she teamed up with Charlie Zafra, forming the duo “Charlie y Vero.” Together they’ve taught and performed across Spain and internationally—including the Netherlands, UK, France, the United States, the UAE, Egypt, Lebanon, Germany, Cyprus, Romania, and India—delivering partnerwork, ladies’ styling, and shines focused on social dance application.
On the competitive floor, Verónica won the World Footwork (Pasos Libres) Championship – Women’s in 2014 and 2015 (Charlie was runner-up – Men’s in 2014). As a couple, they captured Open ShowDance (Spain) champions in 2015 and continued to place at national showcases later in the decade.
