Marco Ferrigno is an Italian salsa/mambo choreographer and instructor based in Milan. Trained in standard/ballroom from age 12, he shifted to salsa around 2000 and built a signature fusion that layers New York–style mambo with contemporary and modern jazz vocabulary, Afro-Cuban elements, and flamenco. He refers to this approach as “Mambo Moderno.”
Ferrigno is the founder and director of Ansima Production Ballet (est. 2008), a Milan-based company known for ensemble precision, theatrical staging, and full-length pieces. Ansima’s productions have been presented at major European festivals; several works run as long as 60 minutes, highlighting a choreographic structure closer to concert dance than typical salsa showcases. Recent titles include the 2025 premiere “Trinidad.”
In Milan, Ferrigno serves as artistic director of ABC Studios by Marco Ferrigno, where he teaches and runs team training programs; the studio offers in-person and livestream classes and lists its headquarters at Via Alberto Martini 20, Cinisello Balsamo.
On the international circuit, he regularly headlines European congresses and festivals, including El Sol (Poland) and the Croatian Summer Salsa Festival, presenting both technique workshops and company repertory rooted in his contemporary-mambo fusion.
