Milagros de la Caridad Contreras Pérez is a professional dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher specializing in various Cuban dance expressions, including Cuban salsa, Cuban cabaret, traditional, Yoruba dances and rumba, among others.
At the age of 18, Milagros—known artistically as “Mily”—began her professional career, joining Cuba’s most renowned dance companies. Her talent and dance quality led her to work alongside major figures in music and entertainment such as Adalberto Álvarez, Isaac Delgado, and Verónica Castro, participating in music videos and television shows.
She is a graduate of the Instituto Superior de Arte de La Habana (ISA), where she deepened her knowledge of Cuban folkloric dance. Currently, she is the director and teacher of her own dance academy, “MilyDance,” which she founded in 2012.
With a versatile, easy to follow and friendly teaching method, Mily has welcomed to her dance studio at her home hundreds of enthusiasts visiting Havana. She is particularly known for offering a complete initiation experience to Cuban salsa through her Airbnb activity called “Salsa Nights,” which has been highly praised by international dancers.
Mily is characterized by her open heart and dedication to her students, earning her countless expressions of gratitude.
