Ansima Production Ballet is a Milan-based salsa company founded in 2008 by Italian choreographer and dancer Marco Ferrigno.
The team is best known for bringing a more theatrical, concert-style approach to salsa performance, mixing New York mambo with elements of flamenco, Afro-Cuban movement, rumba, lyrical jazz, ballet, and other Latin rhythms. In addition to traditional routines, the team produces longer-format productions (such as Poesia, which debuted in 2010), which combine multiple routines into full dance production.
The team combines top-level dancers trained in classical dance styles in addition to salsa, and is regularly showcased as a featured group at European salsa festivals.
