Nery Antonio Garcia is a salsa and bachata instructor based in Fort Myers, Florida, where he runs Elegant Salsa Dance Academy. He teaches in the Fort Myers and Naples area, with a smooth, controlled lead and an approach to salsa built around clarity, connection and elegance.
Nery is the founder, owner and director of DanceSWFL, and the original founder and creator of Elegant Rumba Dance Company, which he established in 2008. He was featured in Edie The Salsa Freak’s World’s Best Leads DVD series, appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Season 4, and was a featured dancer on MTV’s MADE.
In Southwest Florida, Nery is best known for Elegant Salsa, his teaching brand and online instructional presence. His academy focuses on salsa and bachata, with classes and private training designed for dancers who want practical social dancing skills as well as cleaner partnerwork technique.
