Mireille Ruiz is a Bay Area Latin dance instructor from Mexico City, with current teaching and choreography activity in Oakland. She is known for teaching cumbia, bachata and salsa, with a dance background rooted in Mexican and Latin social dance culture.
Mireille first learned following technique dancing with her father at family parties, and later trained in Mexican folklore, jazz, tap and gymnastics. She is also a percussionist, drummer and Montessori teacher, which gives her profile a broader musical and educational foundation than a typical social dance bio.
