Princess Serrano is a New York-based mambo dancer, choreographer, instructor and performer with Mambo Royalty NYC. She partners with Eddie Torres Jr, and their work is rooted in New York-style mambo, the Torres family dance lineage and the next generation of salsa On2 performance and instruction.
Princess began dancing at age 12 and trained at Kensington Creative and Performing Arts High School in ballet, modern, jazz and hip-hop. She also spent time training with Latin dance companies including Fuego Dance Company, Art in Motion and Iroko, and studied Afro-Cuban movement, mambo, tricks and lifts through intensive programs.
Her professional work includes film, stage and live entertainment projects. With Eddie Torres Jr, she served as a Latin choreographer for Warner Bros.’ In The Heights, and her credits also connect her to Kiss of the Spider Woman, Madison Square Garden performances and other high-profile dance projects.
At Mambo Royalty NYC, Princess teaches and performs from a New York City base while helping carry forward the Torres mambo tradition. Her classes and choreography focus on musicality, technique, body movement and stage presence, with a clear connection to New York-style salsa and mambo history.
