Jhoana Palhua is a Peruvian salsa and bachata dancer, instructor, choreographer and judge based in Lima. She is the director behind JP Dance Academy and JP Dance Company, and she is known internationally as a multi-time world champion in professional soloist categories.
Jhoana’s work combines salsa, bachata, body movement, shines and competition choreography. She is a 10-time world champion, and her professional career has taken her into workshops, performances and judging work across many countries.
She often appears internationally with Diago Camilo, bringing together Peruvian competition training with Colombian-style salsa energy. Their workshops and performances have included Salsa On1, Cali latin style and soloist material, giving dancers a high-energy look at fast footwork, musicality and stage confidence.
Through JP Dance Academy in Lima, Jhoana teaches and directs dancers who want structured salsa and bachata training. Her work is especially useful for students interested in soloist performance, ladies styling, competitive technique and Latin dance choreography.
