Osmar Perrones is a New York mambo instructor, performer and team director best known as the founder of Yamulee Dance Company. Based in New York City, he has built one of the most recognizable Salsa On2 training systems in the world.
Osmar’s early New York mambo background includes work with teams such as Descarga Latina, Fuerza Latina, Magic Touch and Santo Rico. That experience shaped a teaching style centered on fundamentals, strong timing, partnerwork, turns and the kind of clean team execution associated with New York mambo.
Yamulee Dance Company was founded in 2003 and developed into a major training pipeline for social dancers, student teams, semi-pro performers and professional dancers. The company’s style is known for fast spins, crisp shines, precise formations and a polished On2 look that has influenced dancers far beyond New York.
As a teacher, Osmar focuses on building dancers from the basics up, with classes and teams that emphasize structure, repetition and stage readiness. Osmar and Yamulee Dance Comapny continue to be one of the most sought after professional salsa teams at festivals arond the world.
