Jhonner Stiven is a Colombian dancer and instructor based in Sunnyvale, California. He is known in the Bay Area as one of the few teachers offering salsa caleña, the fast, footwork-driven Colombian salsa style shaped by Cali’s social dance and stage traditions.
Jhonner teaches a recurring salsa class at Knock Out Dance Studio in Sunnyvale and has been a featured instructor at local events such as the San Francisco Salsa Festival.
Jhonner is also the founder and artistic director of Baila ConRitmo, a Latin entertainment company that produces performance work around the Bay Area. The company specializes in samba, salsa and other Latin rhythms for events and celebrations.
His dance background includes more than a decade in the industry, with training across Latin and Brazilian dance as well as ballet, modern, and lyrical-contemporary work. On stage, he brings that range together with high energy, polished movement, and a clear love for sharing Colombian and Latin dance with audiences.
