About Francis Teri

Francis Teri is a Brooklyn-based dance instructor and the founder, owner, and head instructor of Dance Fever Studios. He teaches salsa, hustle, Argentine tango, ballroom, and other Latin dance styles, with a particular focus on the leading, following, connection, and partner technique needed for confident social dancing.

Francis has taught and performed at corporate events, weddings, private celebrations, and major New York venues. His performance credits include salsa at the Ziegfeld Theatre for the 20th-anniversary celebration of Dirty Dancing and hustle for the 30th anniversary of Saturday Night Fever. A studio archive also documents a Ziegfeld Theatre hustle performance with Argentine tango dancer Carolina Jaurena.

He has appeared on News 12 performing salsa and on MTV’s 10 on Top, where he introduced host Lenay Dunn to waltz, salsa, and tango. Francis and Dance Fever Studios have also been featured by NY1, Caribbean Life, and the New York Daily News.

Through Dance Fever Studios, Francis teaches dancers from complete beginner through performance level. His approach centers on making partner dancing understandable and approachable while helping students develop the technique, comfort, and confidence to use what they learn on the social dance floor.
