Sergey Stepaniuk is a salsa and bachata instructor at Heart Crystal Dance Academy in Naples, Florida, specializing in social dancing for adult students and complete beginners.
From 2010 to 2021, he taught through Latina Club studios in Alushta, Yalta, and Kharkiv, providing group classes, private instruction, social dance practice, parties, and festivals. His students have included adults of many ages, with many beginning their dance journey in their thirties, forties, or fifties.
Sergey trained in the teaching method created by Irina Yasnogorodskaya, founder of the Latina Club school, and became a certified instructor in 2010. The method emphasizes a calm and accessible introduction to partner dancing for adults with little or no previous dance experience. He later expanded his training at ISA in Havana during the Baila en Cuba festival.
Sergey moved to Naples in June 2024 and now teaches alongside Oksana Ponomarenko at Heart Crystal Dance Academy. Their joint teaching approach allows students to observe both roles in partner dancing, helping them understand how leading, following, timing, and connection work together.
