Kevin Gallego is a Colombian salsa dancer, instructor and choreographer from Cali, based in New York City. Also known by his full name, Kevin Leonardo Gallego Carmona, he developed his career through salsa competition and performance, with salsa caleña at the center of his dancing.
Kevin won the Junior Solo division at the World Latin Dance Cup in 2012. He also won Junior Solo at the World Salsa Open in 2014 and 2016, establishing his competitive career while still a young dancer.
His performance work has included collaborations with Michelle Lozada and Ana Saoco. Alongside competition and choreography, he teaches salsa and continues to work as a professional dance instructor in the United States.
His early solo titles came at two different international competitions, reflecting the importance of individual footwork in his career. He has also worked in partner performance, bringing his competition experience into the choreography he presents with other dancers.
