Angie Garcia is a salsa dancer and instructor based in New York City. She teaches salsa On2 and performs with Deymian Villaraldo, combining solo styling work with a competitive dance partnership. Her workshop repertoire includes ladies’ styling and technique for On2 dancers.
Garcia and Villaraldo won the Salsa Rising Star Showcase On2 division at the 2025 World Salsa Summit. In 2026, they took first place in the event’s Professional Showcase On2 final. They also won Salsa Parejas On2 Open at the 2026 Oaxaca Salsa and Bachata Festival’s Paramount Cup.
The pair’s professional work connects New York City with Villaraldo’s Portland base. In addition to competition appearances, they travel for guest workshops and performances. At Mr. Mambo’s in May 2025, Garcia taught an On2 ladies’ styling and technique class as part of an event that also included Villaraldo’s shines workshop and their couple show. Her teaching and performance work encompasses both the individual dancer’s movement and the demands of partnered salsa choreography.
