Alex Salsita (real name Alex Gonzalez) is a Colombian salsa dancer, choreographer, and director based in Bogotá, best known for high-impact performances and competitive routines in the Cabaret division.
In salsa competitions, Cabaret is the division built around difficult tricks, lifts, and acrobatics, and Alex has made that style a signature of his work onstage.
He has earned major international results with Judy Garzón, including a 1st place finish in Professional Salsa Cabaret (Couple) at Euroson Latino World Salsa Championship (2024) among other international salsa competitions.
As a director of Esfera Latina, Alex has also been part of Bogotá’s rise in the championship circuit, including the team’s win in the Grupos Cabaret category at the Festival Mundial de Salsa in Cali (2012), a notable result for a Bogotá-based company at a Cali-hosted championship.
Today, Alex continues to teach, choreograph, and perform internationally with his current dance partner, Isabel Cristina.
