SalsaBoy Lukas is a salsa dancer, instructor, and Salsa Social Masters competition winner who has been immersed in salsa for more than 15 years. He began dancing as a child in Lithuanian folk dance, and later discovered salsa in Lithuania after watching the French film Salsa, which inspired him to begin his journey in Latin dance.
Over the years, Lukas trained and danced in England, Hong Kong, and Cuba, taking part in numerous international festivals and developing a deep understanding of salsa music and movement. His main specialization is linear salsa, especially New York salsa On2, although he also enjoys Cuban salsa and other salsa styles.
Lukas is known for his strong musicality, expressive shines, and creative partnerwork. In his classes, he encourages dancers to listen closely to the music, understand its structure, and respond to the rhythm with intention.
He is also the creator of the Lithuanian project Salsa Percussion Instruments Course, which brings together dance, music, and rhythm awareness. That connection between movement and music is a big part of his teaching approach, where students are encouraged not only to dance, but also to better understand what they are hearing.
Today, Lukas works alongside his dance partner Vaidilė to promote salsa culture, positive energy, and community in Vilnius, where they organize weekly salsa socials and other events.
