Andres Leiton is a Colombian salsa dancer, choreographer and instructor based in Dubai. Originally from Bogotá, he directs Mambolei and teaches at Ric Banks Dance Academy.
Andres developed his professional career through salsa competition and performance in Colombia before moving into teaching in the United Arab Emirates. He has competed extensively and won multiple world titles at competitions such as the World Salsa Championships and World Latin Dance Cup.
In Dubai, he teaches local salsa classes and works with dancers on technique and musicality. His instruction draws on his experience as both a performer and a competition dancer.
He has taught at Ric Banks since 2022, combining ongoing studio instruction with choreography for stage and social dance events. His teaching emphasizes a sound technical foundation before developing performance confidence. Students work on how movement relates to the music, while his choreography gives those skills a setting beyond exercises or an isolated sequence of steps.
