Chiara Tofani is an Italian salsa dancer, choreographer and instructor based in Los Angeles. Originally from Anzio, she teaches salsa On2 and body movement, drawing on training in Afro-Cuban dance as well as ballet and contemporary styles.
Chiara began gymnastics at six and ballet and modern dance at eight. At thirteen, she started studying Cuban folklore and salsa at Salsa Crew. In 2017, she moved to Milan to train at Sosa Academy and worked with Latin Soul Dancers and Black Soul.
She moved to New York in 2018 and began touring as a solo artist the following year. In 2020, she expanded into online instruction and team projects. Her later collaborations included Gabriel Di Marzo and Franklin Diaz, before she relocated to Los Angeles in June 2024.
Her online programs extend that teaching beyond live workshops, while her team projects give dancers a chance to study and perform her choreography.
