Eder Ivan Avila is a Peruvian salsa dancer, instructor and team director based in Long Beach, California. He is the founder and director of On2ourage Dance Company, a Southern California salsa/mambo company focused on clean Salsa On2 technique, musicality and performer development.
Eder was born and raised in Trujillo, Peru, and moved to the United States when he was fifteen. He began training in salsa in 2008 and developed his own approach to On2 dancing through social dancing, team work and teaching in the Los Angeles area.
On2ourage began in 2015 as a project with friends and grew into a structured training community with weekly classes and performance teams. The company has become known for building social dancers into polished performers through shines, partnerwork, timing, musicality and stage discipline.
As a teacher, Eder focuses on Salsa On2 shines, partnerwork and the details that help dancers look grounded and musical. He teaches and performs at congresses throughout the country, and was also one of the featured salsa dancers in Bad Bunny’s 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.
