Fernando Camacho is a professional salsa and bachata dancer with 15 years of experience performing nationally and internationally.
He has been the director of Salsa Brava Cultural Studio Irapuato since 2011 and is a member of Jayson Molina’s Rompekabeza Dance Company Puerto Rico and Martín González’s Studio 29 Mexicali. He has also taught workshops at several of Mexico’s leading national dance congresses, including Mi Swing Festival, Oaxaca SB Paramount Cup, and Mexicali Salsa Bachata Congress.
Fernando is one of the leading figures in salsa and bachata in Irapuato and is deeply passionate about studying and learning dance. He promotes holistic personal development and encourages his students to discover themselves through dance in a conscious process that develops multiple forms of intelligence, including bodily-kinesthetic, rhythmic-musical, and visual-spatial intelligence.
For Fernando, dance goes far beyond steps and the number of turns: “If you don’t learn to listen to the music in the present moment, every song you dance to will look the same.”
