Lorans Abdelshahid is a Walnut Creek-based Latin dance instructor and the director of Lorans Latin Jam. He teaches salsa and bachata in the East Bay, with regular classes, bootcamps, and socials tied to events such as Salsa Con Sabor and Bachata Sin Fronteras.
Lorans works with dancers who want approachable social-dance instruction close to home. His classes focus on practical combinations, partner connection, and confidence on the dance floor, with material that newer dancers can follow and returning students can keep refining. That makes his classes useful for people who want steady practice without needing a performance-team commitment.
Through Lorans Latin Jam, he has helped create a regular Walnut Creek gathering point for East Bay dancers looking for salsa and bachata instruction. His work is community-centered: weekly classes, recurring socials, and a steady place for local dancers to keep practicing.
