Marco Aguilar is a Santa Barbara salsa instructor, the owner and director of ME Sabor Dance Studio, and the organizer of the Royal Latin Dance Cup. Through ME Sabor, he teaches salsa, bachata, cumbia, and other Latin dance styles, with a studio built around social classes, performance teams, wedding and special-event choreography, and dance as a community practice.
Marco has been recognized in the local dance community with several public achievements, including nominations for the 2024 Latino Business Awards’ Best Businessman of the Year and Best Dance Studio, a 2019 Oxnard Salsa Festival Dancing With Our Community Star win in the male division, and a 2012 first-place finish at the Sugar Beats Competition.
His teaching is focused on making Latin dance approachable while still giving students a path into performance, social dancing, and the wider Latin dance scene. Under his direction, ME Sabor has become a Santa Barbara home base for salsa and bachata classes, socials, teams, visiting instructor workshops, and events that connect dancers beyond the local studio community.
