Mattsun（マッツン）is a Tokyo-based salsa dancer, instructor, choreographer, and event organizer with experience in On2, On1, Cali-style salsa, bachata, cha-cha-cha, pachanga, and boogaloo. After studying with numerous instructors, he developed a versatile approach shaped by musicality, rhythm, and the social dance floor.
He has performed internationally in Los Angeles and Taiwan and has created choreography for the boogaloo team Nippori Mambo City and the women’s shines team Boogaloo Saltar. His teams also performed at the Isla de Salsa festival for two consecutive years, and he served as a co-organizer of the Japan Mambo Festival 2024.
Mattsun currently organizes Happy Latin Influence at Studio JBA and On2 Cha Cha Cha Sunday Vibes at Ryogoku Space Pono. Through his classes, choreography projects, and social events, he aims to bring dancers together and deepen their connection to Latin music and dance.
