Mikko Kemppe is the founder of Helsinki Salsa Academy. Mikko was a well-liked salsa dancer in the Bay Area social scene and he credits a lot of his early training and development in salsa to many of the instructors in the Bay Area.
In 2012 he was selected to the judging panel for the World Salsa Championships held in Hong Kong where he also performed with another celebrated dancer from California Liz Lira. Today Mikko teaches and develops his academy in Helsinki, Finland where he is also the head organizer of the Nordic Salsa Championships.
