Ricardo Romero is a salsa instructor from Honduras, now based in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been dancing for over 30 years and teaching salsa for 28 years, with a focus on helping complete beginners build confidence on the social dance floor.
Ricardo did not grow up dancing. After arriving in the United States, he started from zero and learned salsa one step at a time, an experience that now shapes the way he teaches. His approach is built around patience, honesty, and simplicity, with an emphasis on making salsa feel clear and approachable for students who are new to dance.
Ricardo trained at Arthur Murray Dance Studio, where he completed both the Bronze and Silver programs as a lead and follower before being recruited to teach. He later founded Your Dance Studio, an online salsa education platform based around his proprietary 20-Step Framework, a progressive system designed to take beginners from their first basic step to dancing comfortably at social events.
Through Your Dance Studio, Ricardo teaches online salsa courses for students who want structured, step-by-step instruction they can follow at their own pace. His primary course, Learn to Dance Salsa, focuses on movement, rhythm, connection, and social dance confidence.
