Serena Maso is an Italian salsa and bachata dancer, instructor and performer based in the Turin area. She is one half of Simone y Serena with Simone Sanfilippo, and together they are known for high-energy salsa and bachata shows, competition titles and the RDV Style project.
Serena and Simone began dancing together in 2007 and quickly moved into international competition. Their record includes multiple IDO world titles, a bronze medal in salsa at the 2017 World Games, and a World Salsa Summit Pro Salsa On1 title in 2019. They are also known as 18-time world champions.
Their style is built around fast footwork, athletic tricks, detailed partnerwork and a strong stage look. They compete and teach across salsa and bachata, with experience in Salsa On1, Salsa On2, cabaret, cha cha cha and other Latin categories.
Through RDV Style and La Rosa Dei Venti Dance Academy, Serena teaches dancers who want structured technique and performance training. Her work with Simone has made her part of one of Italy’s best-known salsa and bachata partnerships on the international congress circuit.
