Kevin Toft is a salsa instructor known for his clear teaching style, strong technical foundation, and focus on helping students grow through dance. He trained at HotSalsaHot in Princeton, New Jersey, with world salsa champion Henri Velandia, and later in Philadelphia with world salsa champion Eli Torres between 2007 and 2010. It was during this period that Kevin discovered dance as a form of self-expression and developed a passion for teaching.
Kevin has been teaching since 2009, helping students use dance as both a skill and a creative outlet. His style blends salsa with influences from ballet, ballroom technique, and Afro-Cuban and Brazilian body movement. Over the years, he has continued to expand his training through ballet, modern dance, Brazilian zouk, and further study with Eli Torres.
Kevin is also known for his commitment to building local dance communities. He began teaching in Monmouth and Middlesex counties with the goal of creating a stronger salsa scene closer to home. Known for making learning approachable and effective, Kevin works with dancers of all experience levels and is dedicated to helping students build confidence, improve quickly, and discover their potential.
